Education 2010 seeks Education Support Specialists

Education 2010 is seeking Education Support Specialists to provide tutoring for children and youth who are currently in the care and custody of Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS). The intent of Education 2010 is to provide academic support services that will encourage an increased rate of grade level retention, high school graduation, and college entrance for those youth.

The initiative also will provide employment opportunities for current, certified teachers who are underemployed, unemployed, or retired. The program runs through Sept. 30, 2010.

The initiative is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), is administered through the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) and DFCS.
